These bright young minds have got a 100% tuition fee waiver through stringent selection by academic and jury experts. They have proved to be the best in knowledge, skills of presentation, and creativity.
The purpose of the iLEAD Scholarship is to encourage youth to define, conceptualize and articulate problems and recommend innovative, adaptive, and disruptive solutions through exploration, learning (collective or individual), and empowering themselves to be a change-maker.
We are on the look for young talented students who challenge the status quo, think out of the box, encourage intellectual curiosity, and empower themselves to become active citizens and positive change-makers who will contribute to the new future.
What do you need to do?
Applicants are expected to create a project, explaining how they will embody the values of the iLEAD scholarship in the project and how will they plan to influence in shaping the new future.
The New Future
Our world today is full of news regarding multiple issues including pandemic, climate change, gender discrimination, healthcare access, pollution, water scarcity, microplastic waste, extinction of animal life and more, all or any of these can surely overwhelm us.
Which issues need to be addresses first and how can one individual bring in the change? Strate ethos are grounded in making design simple, fair and beautiful. While we empower each student with practical learning tools to make an impact, we also believe our scholarship applicants can sure be the future influencers of change.
What we are looking in your application is how you use your unique approach, your problem-solving skills and your design ideas into actionable points.
Strate 2023 Scholarship Dates
We are consuming products every day. Most of them have a big impact on resources, and the environment. How can we think of making them more sustainable by enhancing their resource consumption, durability, recyclability, logistic, packaging, or upgradability?
Design a product for tomorrow keeping all this in mind.
The world is turning digital, people are doing everything on their mobile devices.
Design a system, an app, or an interface that helps humankind to use technology and enhance the experience of users.
You have noticed that moving in cities is evolving -shared bicycles and scooters, Yulu and Bounce, Ola and Uber, electric autonomous cars, more and more common transportation, all this is the beginning of a very interesting evolution in urban mobility.
Think and design on what should come next for us in the coming 5 years.
The new generation is less interested in “owning things”, they are more interested in using things when they need them. Rental and pay and use systems are blooming in all domains: cars, bikes, scooters, even insurances and houses, power tools, and house equipment.
This will help in decreasing the number of products built, transported and sold, and then used less than 40% of the time and stored somewhere, wasting valuable space inside or outside households.
Invent and design a sharing system in the domain that helps people to do what needs to be done, when it needs to be done without the need of owning an under-used object.
Social distancing is the new normal, but it is evolving the way we use spaces at home, in workshops, common transports, or in offices.
Design a solution (space management, furniture product, or system) that helps to live more easily with the social distancing constraints.
Keep in mind human relationships, space efficiency (cost and limitation), and personal well-being.
If you find that there is another important challenge(s) that needs to be addressed to help mankind and/or our planet, please do not hesitate to be bold to present us a solution that would be: simple, just, and beautiful.
The first round of selection will be based on two criteria’s;
a. Quality & Content analysis of the project
We are looking out for originality of concept, relevance of the problem tacked, creativity and degree of “unseen before”, feasibility and visual quality of the delivery
b. Documents showing achievements in the Design domain
Only Shortlisted students at the end of Step 01 will move ahead in the selection process towards step two.
Selected applicants will be called to make their presentation online.
A jury of both academic and industry experts will attend the presentations, and would assign the scholarship according to the following criteria:
Scholarship on tuition fees for girls taking admission in any of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes for 2023 Intake.
