Admissions Procedure for Strate, Bangalore

At Strate, we branch the design admissions into undergraduate (right after Class 12) and parallel admissions (from Year 2). You can enrol in Strate School of Design immediately after class 12 if you are driven by your ambition to become a top-notch designer or opt for lateral admission to year 2.

We are not accepting lateral entry applications for years 3, 4, and 5.

The program is offered for Bachelors Program(3yrs), Masters Program(2yrs) and Integrated B.Sc and M.Sc-5 years Upon completion of the course, students receive,

• BSc/MSc degree from Jain (Deemed-to-be) University

Please note: Students pursuing the course only up to year three will be awarded the Bachelor’s (BSc) degree from Jain (Deemed-to-be) University and a Certificate from Strate School of Design, Paris.

You are eligible to apply to our Integrated Master in Design course, and Bachelors program if you have graduated Class 12 with an aggregate of at least 50%.

The fees for the Integrated Master in Design course at Strate School of Design, Bangalore is INR 6,30,000 per year. This covers only tuition fees and does not include charges for international study trips, and other miscellaneous fees.

The admission process for our Master in Design course involves the following steps,

• Filling out the online application form
• Submission of the completed application form along with the application fee of INR 2000
• Appearing for the admission test
• Interview/Portfolio review
• Securing the seat by paying 10% of the first-year fees
• Finalizing the admission by paying the first semester fees (minus the 10% already paid)
• Submission of relevant documents and proofs

• Completed application form
• Two recent passport size photographs
• Originals and copies of your academic mark sheets
• Additional documents that may support your admission such as letters of recommendation, work certificates (if applicable)
• A cheque/DD amounting to 10% of the 1st year’s tuition fees

Strate Admission Test (SAT) is a creative aptitude test that will assess the applicant on their problem-solving skills, adaptability to the situation, innovative thinking and application, abstract reasoning, and detail orientation skills.

Strate Admission Test (SAT) is a mandatory application process step for all applicants who are intending to apply at Strate for:

Eligibility

5-Year Integrated Bachelors and Masters in Design Program / Bachelor in Design Program
Applicants who have passed Class XII/ or equivalent with at least 50% or higher scores or will be appearing for their final exams for Class XII/ or equivalent in 2023 are eligible to apply. Applicants from any stream (Science, Commerce, Arts, Design, and/or Humanities) are qualified to apply.

Masters in Design
Applicants with an undergraduate degree or an equivalent with at least a 55% score are eligible to apply.
Applicants with a bachelor’s or equivalent from any stream can apply. The Masters course doesn’t need students to have under graduation in courses design.

*SAT is open to all nationals (Indian/foreign).

The Strate Entrance Process will involve the following
a. Strate Qualifying Test (SQT)
b. Interview + Portfolio Review

The SQT and interviews will happen offline in 3 cities
a. Bangalore
b. Pune
c. Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad

Applicants from these cities will have to appear for offline SQT and interviews. Applicants from other cities can either opt for an online test or visit one offline test location.

Admit Cards

Once applicants register for the Strate Admission Test (SAT), their admit cards will be sent to them at least four days before the test via their registered email address. If candidates do not receive their admit card four days before the test, they can call our helpline number.

Results

The results of the tests will be sent via the registered email address of the students.

Strate Application Process

The admission process for our Design course involves the following steps:
• Download the application form from Strate, Bengaluru website, or request a Strate counsellor to send you one.
• Submit the complete application form online or via your counsellor.
• Register for Strate Admission Test and take the test on your scheduled date.
• Selected applicants will go through an Interview and Portfolio Review.
• Post-processing of test results and interviews, results will be mailed to the registered email addresses.
• Qualified applicants will require to secure their seat by submitting INR 100,000 of the first-year fee. The payment schedule of the fee will be shared with the offer letter.
• Applicant will be required to submit all relevant documents/proofs (certifications etc.)
